S. The conference can not be to promote tourism or biotechnological products in Cuba.

Important Information for All Passengers

If you are traveling under a specific license, category 3, the U.S. Treasury Department allows you to spend $195 per day while in Cuba. Additionally, every six months, you may spend $100 per trip to purchase Cuban goods for your own personal use.

If you are traveling under categories 1,2,4,5,6, and 7, the U.S. Treasury Department allows you to spend $195 per day and such additional transactions as are directly incident to your category of travel. Additionally, every six months, you may spend $100 per trip to purchase Cuban goods for your own personal use.

In addition to your allowed per diem mentioned above, you are allowed to purchase informational materials, i.e. publications, tapes, CDs, records, photographs, artwork, posters, etc.
